Our Mission & Vision
The mission of Piney Grove Baptist Church of Winston-Salem, Inc. is to love God, to love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ. The vision of our church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make true disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the ordinances, to edify believers, and to do all that is sovereignly possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.
The Church:
Piney Grove Baptist Church was established in 1892 in a little village across the railroad named Coal Town. The church started with 2 deacons and 8 members. We have now grown to our Pastor serving full-time. We presently have 10 Associate Ministers, 5 Deacons, 2 Deacons-Elect, 5 Trustees and 6 Trustees-Elect, 1 Treasurer, a full-time Executive Secretary, a Maintenance Engineer, Part-time Maintenance helper, Part-time Lead Musician, Assistant Musician and Percussionist. With membership well over 1000.
We are known around the city as the Church of Love. As we continue to move on to higher heights through God’s Grace and Mercy, we look forward to all God’s promises becoming a reality.
